STORY: Several thousand protesters clashed with police in Hamburg on Saturday (December 21) over the closing of a left wing community center called "Rote Flora."
After protesters started to throw bottles, stones and fireworks at the police, authorities banned the demonstration and dissolved the crowd.
After that about one thousand protesters roamed the streets and attacked supermarkets, banks and the police, according to a police spokesman. He added that at least 82 policemen and an unknown number of demonstrators were injured.
