Madrid, Dec 17 (EFE).- Real Madrid defender Marcelo returned to practice Tuesday at the club's training facilities in Valdebebas, a Madrid suburb, while Sergio Ramos was absent for a second straight day and Gareth Bale had an injury scare.
The club, which is gearing up for its match against Olimpic de Xativa, saw Bale go down with a calf injury after making a kick.
The Welsh winger did not return to practice and will not play against Olimpic.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti rested star forward Cristiano Ronaldo.
The coach is awaiting the outcome of an appeal filed by the club of the yellow card given to Sergio Ramos and holding out hope that the player will be able to take the field in Valencia.
