In South Africa, the ten days of official mourning for Nelson Mandela are over.
And so the clean up begins.
In Johannesburg, as all over the country, South Africans look ahead to building a new, better South Africa Mandela would be proud of.

"I'm very optimistic about what's going to happen and I think there is a need for the government to reassess what they are doing. I think there has been unfortunately a lot of nepotism and corruption and I think it is an opportunity for government if they do mean what they say to actually take a hard look at what they are doing and renew Mandela's legacy."
(SOUNDBITE) (English) SOWETO RESIDENT, ELISE NKOSI SAYING:
"I'm hoping for all of our sakes that as South Africans we did learn from Mandela, that we take the spirit of Ubuntu and everything that he has taught, and that he fought for and gave up his life for that. We go forward with that."
