The popularity concerning the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy continues to soar. A retailer based in Sweden recently collaborated with the author of the books, E.L. James to create a line of inspired lingerie.
Surprisingly the garments do not reflect bondage or any other type of hardcore sexual fantasies. A spokesperson for the Swedish company behind the sexy lingerie elaborated on the idea stating “We did not for a minute think about domination leather aesthetic. Our collection was inspired by all of the million female readers of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, what we imagine they would wear and feel sensual in.”
The collection includes such pieces as briefs, negligées, bras and stockings. The standout colors include gray, black and red.
There are some highlights in the book that also appear in the lingerie lineup including a black mask and the signature Christian Grey tie.
James has reportedly taken in about $100 million this year , due to the expanding Fifty Shades franchise. What do you think of the book inspired lingerie line?
