(SOUNDBITE) MARK BARDEN, DANIEL BARDEN'S FATHER SAYING:
"A lot of the memories are happy. We're still sort of new at this. It's still so early on that it's hard not to.. it's hard not to get caught up in the grief. That that's all they are are memories."
And those memories are so very fresh for Mark Barden leading up to the one year anniversary of the December 14th massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School that killed 20 children and six adults - including his 7-year-old son Daniel.
(SOUNDBITE) MARK BARDEN, DANIEL BARDEN'S FATHER SAYING:
"Daniel was... Daniel was just a constant light, a constant light of positive, happy energy, always and everywhere he went."
Mark now honors his son through the family's personal foundation website - 'What Would Daniel Do.' They created it to inspire others to help Daniel's empathy, compassion and happiness live on.
