Reform Government Surveillance: One Letter To Rule Them All

2013-12-10 7

Ryan Neal and Vincent Balestriere  discuss the NSA World of Warcraft spying, Xbox Live conversation monitoring, and the open letter calling for surveillance reform sent to the federal government.

Yesterday, a coalition of the country’s largest technology firms published an open letter to Congress and the President, calling for a change in surveillance tactics and practices.

But the campaign was futile.

We don’t yet know if the letter sent to Congress will beget any changes - but we can talk about what can and should be done.
