In an interview with France 24’s Marc Perelman, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni makes no secret of his distrust of the ICC, calling it “shallow” and “not serious”, and advises Kenyan President Kenyatta not to attend his trial in The Hague.
Museveni also denies accusations he backed the rebels in DR Congo. He claims that the M23 rebels, who were easily contained by the Congolese government’s last offensive against their main logistic bases, would have been much stronger had they been supported by Kampala.
