Celebs remember Mandela, Banksy art sells at auction

Before Nelson Mandela's death, the movie studio behind the film "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" talked to celebrities and politicians about the former South African president's influence on their lives and the world. Idris Elba portrayed Mandela in the film and hoped those who are unaware of his story are inspired. John Legend said the world would never forget such a hero, and Al Gore said the world was indebted to Mandela for his "ability to inspire change." Mandela died on December 5 at the age of 95.

A collection of aerosol stenciled artwork by British graffiti artist Banksy sold at Julien's Auctions for more than $450,000 (USD). The auction's centerpiece was "Flower Girl," a mural painted on the brick wall of a gas station, which sold for more than $200,000.
