A network of high-ceiling caves, which are hand crafted and sculpted from sandstone cliffs, is now up for grabs on the real estate market.

Looking for a one-of-a-kind place, in a world full of cookie cutter homes, isn’t all that easy. An exceptionally unique space is currently on the market.

It’s a network of high-ceiling caves, which are hand crafted and sculpted from sandstone cliffs. Located in the northern part of New Mexico, between Santa Fe and Taos, the overall property size is over 200 acres.

Although the lots can be separated to reduce the price, the package deal is going for $995,000. The cave cathedral was built by 67-year-old Ra Paulette, who is an expert of sorts when it comes to caves, as he has dug and carved about 14 of them in the past quarter century.

The realtor behind the sale described the property noting it has “surreal rock formations throughout, sweeping mountain views and includes two unforgettable hand-carved, underground sandstone "cathedrals or meditation chambers."

The walls have harmonious lines that make the transition from one space to the next effortless. But there is also the artwork on those same cave walls, featuring beautifully carved hearts, flowers and abstract, intricate designs that stem upwards and throughout the entire cave.
