Police in Manhattan are searching for three suspects who allegedly robbed an unsuspecting victim in an elevator. The disturbing incident occured on November 23rd inside an apartment building located on the Lower East Side of the borough.

The whole ordeal was captured on film thanks to a surveillance camera. The culprits behind the act, two men and one female waited until the 45-year-old victim was walking out the doors of the elevator before pulling him back in and pinning him to the floor.

They then stole the man’s personal belongings and took off on foot, leaving the male lying down, completely passed out. Thankfully the victim survived. However, he is understandably shaken.

Neighbors in the apartment structure are shocked after learning what occurred in their own elevator. Many of the residents were shown the footage and of those who spoke to reporters, none of them recognized the suspects and didn’t believe they lived in the building.

Anyone with information is asked to immediately contact NYPD Crime Stoppers.
