Yesterday I got a letter from an attorney (sent to my parents address) that said I was on a list of people being sued and was they wanted to help me file bankruptcy.
I have 3 old credit cards from 2003, 2004. I have not paid on them because I had trouble with my mail when I moved out of my parents ( and money).I tried to settle with them, they told me no. 1 of them is no longer on my credit report (the balance was 200) and the other cards are about 600, and 700. I have a current address listed, so why are they looking for me at my parents? Its pretty easy to find me!
I have not been served papers but I am assuming the lady that showed up at my parents was trying to serve me. How can I find out if I am being sued? Who do I call? -
