Michigan held a one point lead at the half but the Buckeyes were able to hold the Wolverines scoreless in the second. Michigan struck with some big plays as Devin Gardner had a 75 yard touchdown pass and Denard Robinson had a touchdown run for 67 yards. Head coach Urban Meyer in his first year with Ohio St was able to be successful defeating his arch rival.
Brady Hoke began his coaching career with Michigan in the 2011 season. In the game in 2011 Hoke was also successful beating the arch rival as the Wolverines posted the 40-34 home victory as a -8 ½ point wagering favorite.
