Parents of children who were attending the Minnieland Academy during a time of alleged abuse say that their children showed signs of being victimized.

One of the worst nightmares for a parent is that their children will be harmed in their absence.

Parents of several children who were attending the Minnieland Academy at the time of the alleged abuse say that their children showed signs of being victimized.

Accusations of wrongdoing at the day care provider’s Woodbridge, Virginia facility surfaced not long ago.

Specific acts claimed to have taken place include stepping on the children’s toes, spraying them with high-pressure water hoses, and encouraging them to engage in physical fights.

It has recently come to light that many parents noticed behavioral changes in their children during the period in question.

The mother of a 21-month-old boy said her son would plead to not have to go to the center, throwing himself to the ground and screaming, “no mommy, no mommy.”

He also began to fear water and refused to be bathed in the tub.

His parents had no choice but to wash him up in the sink.

Another father said his son would no longer swim in the pool, an activity he once loved.

The two workers accused of inflicting the physical and mental abuse have since been let go, but the investigation is still pending.
