Brothers often have an unbreakable bond and that fact doesn’t just pertain to humans. Two 8-month-old puppies named Jeffrey and Jermaine were recently adopted into a loving home. Their story is inspirational to say the least.

The two pooches were found wandering the streets of West Philadelphia as strays. The black and white canines are actually littermates and one of them is blind. The other dog acts as his guide.

The blind pooch, Jeffrey gets around with help from his ever loyal brother Jermaine. Prior to their adoption, just in time for Christmas, the pooches lived at a no-kill shelter called Operation Ava.

A director at the facility stated “I think this is a little bit extraordinary in my experience because they’re so careful with one another and play together so well. Jeffrey really does try to maintain contact with Jermaine, especially when he’s in an unfamiliar environment”.

On November 15th of this year, an online photo went viral after being posted by the Chester County SPCA. It shows the brothers, paws resting on one another as they cuddled and napped.

That picture and the attention it garnered landed them a home, where they will get to spend the rest of their days together.
