CBS reports that this slot costs somewhere between $2.5 and $2.8 million. My question is, then, how do they propose to pay for this commercial time? The company filed chapter 11 bankruptcy last June and is now partially owned by the government (10%) after they gave them $15.5 BILLION to avoid collapsing. I ask again, how are they paying for their air time during the Super Bowl? Perhaps they have weighed the positives and negatives and truly believe their commercial time during the Super Bowl will bring in enough customers to justify the steep cost form CBS. If not, though, Chrysler will once agin prove irresponsible and unable to properly allocate their spending. -
