Bineta Diop is the executive director of “Femmes Africa Solidarité”, an NGO founded in 1996 to promote and defend women’s rights. On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, she speaks up against sexual crimes in African countries plagued by decades of conflict, such as the Democratic Republic of Congo, and against impunity for perpetrators.
