How do I leave my tenancy? - I live in a student house with 3 other people but I can no longer afford my rent as my student loan does not cover my rent and i do not earn enough from my part time job. My mum was helping me with rent and she is my guarantor but she filed for bankruptcy last week due to her having to close her businesses. I need to leave my tenancy so I can commute to uni or move in with a friend so I have advertised my room as being available but it is so small for the amount of rent I am paying that no one is interested. Can someone advise me on what action I should take? I don't have a great relationship with the letting agents or the landlord as there have been many problems with the house which the landlord refuses to fix such as a leaking roof. I need to get out asap! -
