A perfect example I know is a female friend and her husband. In a nutshell, she was what you would call rather promiscuous through high school and college and beyond before meeting her husband (2 years ago). He on the other hand has suffered through financial difficulty in the past, and had recently emerged from bankruptcy mainly due to a failed business.
My friend often will criticize or question his ability to handle their finances, based on her worries about his financial past. Yet if he brings up her promiscuous history she is offended and dismissive of the past being the past . Theoretically couldn't he be just as worried she will cheat -
