We have 80K debt which we ARE able to pay off. Husband is very influenced by sister to file for bankruptcy. He even quit his job and said he no longer wants to work because now there is no need to!I have told his sister numerous times to stay out of our families life but she continues to call him 10 times a day and tell him to file, file, file. I don't have a lawyer and do not know how things work, but I would really like to legally have a way to tell her to get lost and stop advising and brainwashing him! My husband had a really good paying job and so do I and we managed to pay off 90K in five years. If we borrowed the money, I feel like we should pay back if we are physically and mentally able to work and pay off debt.
