FashionTV brings you this video from Pirelli honoring the 50th anniversary of the Pirelli calendar. Some of the world's most renowned photographers talk about why the Pirelli calendar is so famous, and several of the brains behind today's calendar tell us a little about the history of the iconic calendar. "In 1963, we looked at ways of publicizing Pirelli and to actually do it extremely well with some of the world's best photographers, and it was that attention to detail, which made the calendar so famous," says Derek Forsyth, Calendar Creator. "The last thing left in nature is the attractiveness and beauty of women," says photographer Peter Beard. The infamous Annie Leibovitz goes on to say, "Being a woman and asked to do the Pirelli calendar, there's a lot of pressure in a certain way to not let women down, and to look at women in a way that has a kind of integrity to it."
