Dozens killed in oil pipeline explosion in China

Firefighters are putting out flames in China after an oil pipeline explodes.

The explosion happened in the port city of Qingdao in the Shandong Province.

The blast in the underground pipeline owned by the oil company, Sinopec, killed at least 35 people and injured over 150 people, according to state media.

Sinopec confirmed that the explosion was caused by a leak in one of its crude oil pipelines.

The explosion caused a huge hole in the roadway, destroyed cars and trucks and damaged a nearby residential apartment building.
