A Rod leaves own hearing then gives cry-baby interview

2013-11-22 18

Alex Rodriguez stormed out of his own grievance hearing like a spoiled little brat on Wednesday after arbitrator Fredric Horowitz ruled that commissioner Bud Selig did not have to testify before A-Rod's lawyers.

That decision caused Rodriguez to throw a temper tantrum and slam his hand on the table at Major League Baseball's Manhattan Park Avenue offices. After that, he cursed out MLB chief operating officer Rob Manfred. According to other reports Rodriguez said that he won't be participating anymore in the arbitration hearing.

Horowitz was in the middle of the 12th day of hearings Wednesday on the grievance lodged by the players' association to overturn the 211-game suspension handed to A-Rod by MLB last summer for alleged violations of the drug agreement and labor contract.

"This is ridiculous!" Rodriguez shouted after Horowitz issued his ruling shortly before lunch time. A-Rod then pointed a finger at Manfred and said, "This is f---ing bullshit!"

David Cornwell and Jordan Siev, A-Rod lawyers, stayed in the hearing room and entered into the record that they thought the hearing process was "unfair." It is now unclear whether or not the hearing will continue.

After storming out of his hearing, A-Rod then gave an interview to Mike Francesa at WFAN. A-Rod cried that he was being railroaded by the MLB. During the interview, A-Rod flat-out denied all the charges against him. The best part of the interview was probably when A-Rod says he only went to visit Tony Bosch for nutrition and weight loss supplements.
