Four unions active at Zagreb Airport started an industrial action today, which is expected to finish on 22 November, at midnight. Croatia Airlines regular flight operations have been affected by this action, meaning that flight traffic was redirected to other nearest airports.
The strike is the result of a breakdown in the new collective agreement negotiations for airport staff made in April 2012, where ZAIC got a 30-year concession for building a new passenger terminal and its management.
The protesters are confident that the airport should not be sold and ZAIC concession is not a good solution.
