Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - How can I convince a seller to do a land contract? - My husband and I have found the perfect home right next door to us. We looked at it and applied for financing. We were denied because we basically have no credit. We filed for bankruptcy in 2006 and haven't had any loans or credit cards since then. We spoke to the realtor about a land contract. Now this house has been sitting empty since November 2009 with nobody looking at it and the sellers are desperate to get rid of it. After talking with the mortgage guy he told the realtor that we could get financing after 13 months of a land contract. The realtor is all for the LC and has been trying to convince the sellers that this is their only option to sell it. The sellers are doing the Yes we will to the No we won't thing. This has been going on for a month now. They know our circumstances and just can't make up their minds. While we understand that they want to sell their home a LC is almost the same thing and as long as we make all payments on time for a year and don't screw up our credit we are guaranteed financing. And they know this. What else can we do to try and convince them that this will work? The mortgage guy and the realtor are getting upset with them because they won't make up their minds. -
