The foreclosure on the property has also went through. We moved from the propery almost a yr ago as well. We recently received a letter in the mail from the insurance company we had the home owners insurance through saying that they were canceling the premium bc the house is and has been vacant...then a couple days later we received a check from them for the remaining premuim amount for the yr. Is this money actully ours to keep ? Or should it actully be going back to the mortgage company? I do believe that the escrow account balance was negative..meaning if any insurance or taxes had been paid it would have been the mortgage company that did it...but the check was sent here and made out to us.....I dont want to cash and spend this money if they are going to be needing it back. -
