Find the best financial services for you at: SMARTFINANCESOLUTIONS.NET - I filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in May and wonder when my vehicle will be reposessed? - In May of 2011 I filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in the state of California. I have declared in my paperwork that I am surrendering my vehicle in lieu of not being able to afford the payments any longer. When I attended my court hearing I was advised that it would be approximately 100 days until I recieve the verdict of my case; but regardless, I still have not made a car payment since December 2010. Now the 100 day mark is near, I am anticipating middle of August, but I have not heard from the financing company as to when they will take my car away from me. I'm not sure if there's any protection of my vehicle until the verdict of my case has been rendered or how long after I find out the courts decision I will be without a vehicle. Any feedback would be much appreciated -as of now I am not keeping any personal effects in my vehicle just in case. -
