Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi inaugurated National Awareness Camp Scheduled Cast Empowerment at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi. “It was because of her, I decided to always stand up and support the weaker sections” and exhorted the Dalit representative by saying ”You too must not just sit, but stand up and fight for your rights” while concluding his address and the audience acknowledged it with loud applauds. The two-day camp has been organised by National Commission of Scheduled Caste headed by Congress MP P.L. Punia. Dalit thinkers and intellectuals from across the country took part in debates and discussions.
