Bill Rancic was made famous when he won the first season of Donald Trump’s ‘The Apprentice’ and currently leads a successful “hybrid” life between his two passions for business and entertainment. Now Rancic is looking to give back a little by helping a few lucky small businesses get a very bid leg up. The star has now teamed up with Intuit for a unique contest- Small Business Big Game.

He’s doing that by teaming up with Intuit Quickbooks and their Small Business Big Game contest. The competition is a search for a unique and innovative small business to showcase. The prize: a Super Bowl commercial.

The competition has been whittled down to 4 finalists after 15,000 small businesses entered for their chance to advertise in the most expensive ad space in the world, an unprecedented opportunity to be showcased among the likes of Pepsi, Budweiser and Doritos.

Rancic sat down with IBTimesTV to discuss how this contest is run and why he was attracted to the project. He also told us that, regardless of who wins, this contest has already exposed these four small businesses and given them a national platform. The businesses include a company that sells poop, an educational toy for girls, barley dog treats and a healthy egg farm.

Now the voting is up to you America, as the contest has launched an online voting system where the winner will be chosen. To vote for your favorite, visit www.smallbusinessbiggame.com
