Today it was announced that One World Trade Center will officially become the tallest building in the United States. The Council On Tall Buildings & Urban Habitat in Chicago ruled that the Freedom Tower's spire would count, making it a total of 1776 feet tall and higher than the Willis Tower (Formerly known as the Sears Tower) in Chicago.
