Lady Gaga hopes to perform among the stars - literally.
Besides being the first woman to don a flying dress, the pop phenomenon has announced her intention to become the first artist to perform in outer space.
Us Weekly reported last week that a source told the celebrity magazine that Gaga will join a Virgin Galactic mission that is set to launch in early 2015.
During the release party of her new album "ARTPOP", the 27-year-old singer confirmed this, Vanity Fair magazine says.
Currently seats on a Virgin Galactic flight are priced at $250,000 (USD).
Vanity Fair reports that Gaga was gifted the ticket.
But in her race for the stars Gaga might face competition from British diva Sarah Brightman, who announced that she bought her seat on a Russian spaceship bound for the International Space Station in October, 2015.
