There are some common no-nos while looking for employment. But one individual takes the cake when it comes to what not to do.
18-year-old Lawrence Briggs has been accused of stealing items from a Sports Page store. The worst part is that he had just turned in a job application prior to the theft. The incident happened on October 30th.
After handing over the completely filled out employment form, Briggs browsed around the shop and allegedly swiped a hooded coat, T-shirt and baseball hat before walking out the doors. The value of the merchandise was said to be approximately $150.
Police were later called to the scene and the surveillance footage was looked over. It didn’t take long for investigators to contact Briggs since he could be seen turning in a job application, filled with all of his personal information.
He was called in for an interview at the store and upon his arrival, he was quickly arrested. Briggs reportedly admitted to the crime.
He has now been charged with fifth degree theft and interference with official acts after he reportedly resisted being put in handcuffs.
