The car involved in the wreck was split entirely in two. The rear end could be seen upright on one side of the road while the remaining part of the white vehicle was further on up.
That top half of the car including the hood, along with the front seat and tires had landed on some grass next to the roadway, which was situated over a curb. The cause of the accident is under investigation, however according to reports, the driver somehow managed to escape with injuries that were non-life threatening.
The disturbing accident occurred at about 3 in the morning on Kenilworth Avenue which is located in Riverdale Park.
Police and rescue workers responded to the scene immediately to help clean up and get the driver medical attention.
