Hardwater is the debut album by the American band Hardwater (Formerly known as The Astronauts).
The album was produced by the legendary David Axelrod.
The album starts with the wonderful psychedelic song "Medley:My Time - Take A Long Look", Mark Bretz is the principal figure on this song, he does a great solo here, the rhythm guitar is very cool too. "City Sidewalks" has some great vocals (before the chorus, i dont really like the chorus part). "Love And I" sounds abit like CSN, maybe a bit harder, but still it reminded me of them. Songs like "Good Ole Friends" and "Sanctuary" features their west-coast influences (some of The Astronauts moved to California in 1965).
A great west-coast psychedelic rock album.
