A 39-year-old Road Transport Department employee was shot dead in his car on Jalan Seremban-Tampin, Malaysia, yesterday. The victim, N. Ragunathan, was driving to his office when two men on a motorcycle approached his vehicle. After he stopped his car, one of the men jumped off the motorcycle and fired three shots, hitting him in the head and upper body. In an attempt to get help, Ragunathan managed to drive his car for about 40 meters after the shooting but he died before it arrived.
The death is the third fatal shooting in Seremban in the past two weeks. On April 14, a man was shot dead in front of his family while dining at a restaurant. Meanwhile on April 12, another man was shot dead by two assailants on a motorcycle when he stopped his car at a traffic light. Police have yet to make any arrests.
