In part two of The Debate, we look at how to ensure security in northern Mali. The French military intervention earlier this year had initially chased the terrorists out of the northern towns. However, the murder of Radio France International’s Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon in Kidal is tragic proof that the security situation there has worsened, despite the presence of French, Malian and UN troops.
