This was the moment a 6.6 magnitude earthquake shook Taiwan on Thursday.
Despite its power there've been no reports of casualties or major damage.
The sparsely-populated rural east coast bore the brunt.
The U.S. Geological Survey put the quake at a depth of 9.3 kilometres.
Media reports said some people were trapped in lifts and there was brief disruption to train services in the main city, Taipei.
This time the island escaped relatively unscathed.
But Taiwan lies along the Pacific Ring of Fire and experiences earthquakes regularly.
In 1999 another quake killed 2, 400 people and damaged or destroyed many buildings.
