CareerBuilder asked around about sick days and reported that 32 percent of the workforce calls in sick when they are perfectly well.

30 percent said that they do often report for duty when they’re ill because they’d rather use their sick days for other stuff.

Sometimes, though, it’s not that you’re staying home that raises eyebrows, it’s how you break the news to your boss.

Number 5: A woman said that working wasn’t an option because she bit her tongue and couldn’t talk.

Number 4: Another person couldn’t make it in because their dentures had flown out the car window.

Number 3: One worker said that they had to take a day to recover from the defeat dealt to their favorite football team.

Number 2: A particularly unfortunate individual couldn’t leave her house because all of the doors and windows had been glued shut.
