Ten car bombs rock Baghdad, killing at least 49, authorities say.
Cars rigged with explosives detonated in predominantly Shi'ite Muslim areas, and a suicide bomber attacked soldiers at a bank who were lining up for their pay.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) UNIDENTIFIED LOCAL RESIDENT, SAYING:
"Why does all this happen to us? And where did they come from? It is not a human being who commits such an act. It cannot be a human being."
The explosions blew out windows in homes and business, and demolished parts of a market and bus station.
Soldiers are seen as targets for Sunni militants seeking to destabilize Iraq's Shi'ite-led government.
No immediate responsibility has been taken for the attacks.
