21 people injured in Nepal plane crash, no fatalities

Twenty-one people, including eight Japanese tourists, were injured when small plane skidded off an airport runway and crashed into a river in Nepal on Thursday morning. There were no fatalities.
It was reported that the Nepal Airlines Twin Otter aircraft, with 18 passengers on board, was travelling from Pokhara airport to Jomsom airport in the Mustang district. The plane was landing at the airport when its brakes failed. It then crashed into the Kali Gandaki river in the Annapurna mountain range. Five people, including a pilot were seriously injured and were airlifted to Pokhara for further treatment.
