Spanish writer unveils story behind WWII Allied plane crash

Ceuta (Spain), 1 Feb (EFE), (Camera: Rafael Pena).- Spanish writer Luis Oliva Maldonado has unveiled the story behind the graves of seven allied serviceman in Ceuta's Santa Catalina cemetery who died in a plane crash during the Second World War.



A British Halifax DT-586 bomber with seven crew aboard (5 Britons, two Canadians and one New Zelanader) crashed in the hills outside Ceuta on 28 January 1943 after being repaired in Gibraltar two days earlier.
