Mamming is a new meme to promote breast cancer awareness started by New Yorkers Michelle Lamont and Michelle Jaret, and it's expected to go viral online.
Breast cancer survivor Michelle Lamont, aged just 25, was told by her doctors that the best cure for her disease was intervention after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Now, ad agency executive Lamont and Jaret hope the mamming fad will inspire others to get mammograms and promote early detection of the disease.
Mamming is easy. According to Lamont and Jaret's site, you can simply lay your 'clothed' boobs on a flat surface, like a counter. Or a bench. Or the body of a person who is planking. Hundreds of mamming pictures of men, women, babies and even pets have appeared on the website.
