With so many things to take care of, weddings are a stressful time for most couples.

An overwhelmed groom found himself in trouble after realizing that he forgot to fill and sign necessary paperwork required for the wedding. Instead of admitting his horrible mistake, 36-year-old Neil McArdle staged a bomb hoax on the day of the nuptials, in an effort to postpone the ceremony.

It all started the night before the wedding, when McArdle was going through his checklist. That’s when he stumbled across the completely blank form for the booking of the venue.

He went to bed as normal, but snuck out of the home during the early morning hours when his fiancée, Amy Williams was getting ready for her wedding day.

McArdle walked to a local payphone and called the Liverpool register office, stating “This is not a hoax call. There's a bomb in St George's Hall and it will go off in 45 minutes."

Police and firefighters rushed to the scene and evacuated the building. The authorities traced the call and arrested McArdle.

McArdle recently pleaded guilty to making a threatening phone call and he was sentenced to 12 months behind bars. His fiancée Amy has surprisingly stood by his side throughout the whole ordeal.
