Sleepwalking – its something that sounds harmless enough but the innocent act can definitely be dangerous.
A Chinese man recently required rescue efforts after getting stuck in a narrow crevice, which is located in the cliffs of the Flaming Mountains in Turpan.
The male was missing for two days before he was finally discovered on October 20th.
During the two days, he wasn’t able to eat or drink.
After an emergency call came in regarding a trapped male, firefighters responded to the scene and upon arriving had to borrow eight ladders from a nearby construction crew to proceed.
Luckily the rescue efforts were successful and the man is now recovering in a local hospital. Police claim the 27-year-old only encountered minor injuries from the ordeal.
The circumstances are fuzzy regarding how exactly the male got to the remote and elevated location, as the man claims to have no memory of how he got trapped.
However he did tell rescue authorities that he faintly remembered sleepwalking during the nights before he became fully aware that he was lodged in the cliff.
