Ahead of its much publicised “Hoonkar rally” scheduled for October 27 in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gone all out to promote brand Narendra Modi, party’s prime ministerial face who will be the star speaker at the rally after party patriarch L.K. Advani reportedly refused to attend the rally.
Days after they opened dozens of NaMo (Narendra Modi) tea stalls in Patna and had posters of Gujarat chief minister dominating the Goddess Durga pandals, the BJP workers have now set up a free sweet shop to promote its PM candidate in its own style.
The sweet shop was opened in northern Bihar’s Saharsa district during this Durga Puja which attracted huge crowds.
“We intend to promote brand NaMo far and wide with the free sweets,” a local BJP lawmaker from Saharsa Alok Ranjan told the media on Tuesday adding the shop was serving free jalebis sweets to the masses.
