A new study from Columbia University in New York suggests kids who were spanked at five years of age were more aggressive and likely to break rules. The study was done on 1,900 kids in 20 different U.S. cities between 1998 and 2000. It also found spanking at three years old does not affect behavior, but the older the child is the more negative effect it will have on behavior.
