Five people died and two were seriously injured after two pickup trucks collided in Thailand's Nakhon Phanom province on Sunday morning. The pickup trucks were travelling in opposite directions on Highway 212, the Bangkok Post reported.
Five people were in the first vehicle: the driver, his wife, his sister, his father and his son. The second truck was carrying two men.
According to witnesses, the second pickup was driving in the wrong lane, the Bangkok Post reported. The head-on collision happened at around 4 am. According to the Bangkok Post, a team of police, rescuers and medics were sent to the scene where they found two heavily damaged Mitsubishi Triton pickup trucks. Police are still trying to identify the two men in the second pickup truck.
