A state funeral has been held in Belgium for the former Prime Minister Wilfried Martens, who died on October 9 aged 77.
Several European leaders were present to pay their respects to the man who dominated Belgian politics for over a decade, worked to establish Flemish and Walloon regions, and helped launch the centre-right European People's Party.
