Snoop Lion is now going by the name of Snoopzilla. The name change is part of his collaboration with groove singer Dam-Funk for the project known as 7 Days of Funk.
First there was Snoop Doggy Dogg.. then came the shortened version; Snoop Dogg. Most recently it was Snoop Lion.
Those are the names for the rapper who was born as Calvin Cordozar Broadus, Jr. Now he has another self-given nickname.

The pair recently released the first single of their shared album. Titled “Faden Away”, it appeared on iTunes on October 15th, while the full record is scheduled for release on December 10th.
If the new name change doesn’t prove his excitement for the project, Snoopzilla clarified it by stating “We're the babies of the Mothership. I’ve had funk influences in my music my whole career. Dam-Funk is cold. He's keeping the funk alive and I knew I had to get down with him.”
In the past, Snoopzilla referred to himself as a "Godzilla flying on a pegasaurus", but his most recent alias is a tribute to the funk bassist Bootsy Collins, who sometimes went by the nickname of Bootzilla.
