Michigan janitor fired after paying two fourth graders $1 to beat up classmate

A Grand Rapids, Michigan janitor was fired after hiring a pair of four-graders to beat up a fellow classmate who swore at her, according to a report by the New York Daily News.

The unidentified Grand Rapids Public Schools custodian was cursed out by the 9-year-old and opted not to take the high road.

On October 7th, she approached two of the kid's classmates and hired them to teach him a thing or two.

The agreed upon price for the hit job: $1. (Does elementary school hired muscle come cheap or what?)

And true to their word, the pair apparently made good on their promise, according to the mother of the victim who said her son had been bullied.

"There are no words to describe it," said John Helmholdt, a spokesman for the school district. "This is one of those things that make you scratch your head and wonder how any individual could think this was a good idea."

While we here at Tomo News, agree it wasn't the brightest of ideas, the major hitch we see in her execution is the fact that she made the proposition out in the open, instead of say, the janitor's closet, where the terms of the deal would've maybe been a bit more hush hush.

The lunch-time deal was overheard by students and a teacher, who notified the principal.

When confronted by the principal, instead of taking a page from Shaggy and proclaiming "It wasn't me", the janitor owned up to ordering the hit. (Like a boss, we might add).

But, the honesty cost her her job: she was immediately fired. No good deed goes unpunished they say, right?

While the janitor, like Warren G and Nate Dogg before her, no doubt justifiably felt she had to "regulate", the boy's mother didn't quite see it the same way.

"To think that there's an adult that can be so like twisted to sit there and watch a little boy ... get beat up and get enjoyment out of it," she told WOOD-TV.
