The most popular Chinese cartoon for children "Pleasant Goat and Big Big Wolf" has been banned by Chinese TV stations for it's "violent" content. Chinese central television has publicly criticize the show for being vulgar and not suitable for a young audience.

The cartoon raised eyebrows when children started imitating what they see. In April, a child tried to reenact a scene in the popular cartoon and got his playmate seriously burned. The two main characters in the cartoon are often beaten, electrocuted, or cooked in different episodes.
